Position Overview

Position Title: Exterior Specialist
Department: Sales
Supervisor: Sales Director
FLSA Status: Exempt

Position Profile:
Roofing Specialists manage all leads through the inspection and analysis of roofing systems, and the subsequent development of a customized system for each property. This includes generating leads through personal relationships and networks (LinkedIn, IG, FB, and other social media platforms).

The Roofing Specialist abides by all Schoenherr Roofing standards in building customer relationships, educating property owners, providing estimates, following up on every lead, and securing contracts. As a motivated sales professional, the RS must maintain an expert level understanding of market conditions, customer needs, roofing products, applications, code, and warranties. The RS ensures Schoenherr Roofing’s mission, vision, and values are being effectively achieved.

Experience and Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field preferred.
• Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.
• Ability to work independently.
• Valid driver’s license (clean driving record preferred).
• Proven sales performance, preferably in roofing or construction.
• Proficiency with CRM software (Job Nimbus) and other sales tools.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Provide the “Schoenherr Roofing 5-Star Customer Experience”

Deliver an unmatched customer experience by building trust, exceeding expectations, and demonstrating company values from the first contact to completion.

2. Assess Roofing Needs

Perform on-site inspections, document property conditions (ground, rooftop, attic, etc.), and create customized project plans per Roofing Specialist SOPs.

3. Provide Estimates and Secure Projects

Prepare diagrams and blueprints, deliver comprehensive project estimates, finalize all financial and legal documentation, and align costs with company standards.

4. Customer Follow-Up

• Presale: Persistent follow-up using email, text, calls, and Job Nimbus logging until the project is secured or declined.
• Post Sale: Canvass at least 20 neighboring homes and solicit referrals.
• Post Completion: Confirm 100% customer satisfaction and pursue additional referrals.
